The Conveyor Belt with Fingers for Fruits and Vegetables
The conveyor belt can position products easily with belt fingers. The belts with fingers are widely used in agricultural processing plants, before the washing process as well as for dewatering purposes.
What are the materials of belt fingers?
There are two types of materials which are widely used to manufacture belt fingers. The materials are PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). As the the TPU has a higher hardness, the working life is longer than PVC fingers.
What are the applications of finger belts?
The conveyor belt with fingers are mainly used in fruits and vegetable washing procedures to do dewatering operations. The main applications of belt fingers are used for:
- Positioning
- Vertical conveying
- Dewatering
How is the finger installed onto the belt?
The hot welding is often the method to fix belt fingers onto conveyor belt. This way can provide a high tear strength and resistance to shear.
The Structure of Conveyor Belt Fingers
We can mainly provide three models of fingers.
The Structure of Conveyor Belt Fingers
Finger Height (mm) | Base Diameter (mm) | Hardness (ShA) | Min. Pulley Diameter (mm) |
60 | 14 | 70 | 80 |
105 | 20 | 70 | 90 |
105 | 20 | 85 | 90 |
Noted: The material is TPU.
